It's a shoe thing

Ah, behold the beauty of these shoes. (I know only one is pictured but I did buy the full set!) Available from Next.co.uk at a very reasonable price (even more reasonable as they currently have a £10 discount with a first online purchase) and despite the terrifying height of the heel, they are comfortable, not for a hike you understand but a day in the office was no problem. It is also a happy discovery that Next supply shoes in half sizes so they fit properly. Imagine that, a company which understands that 5.5 size feet really do not fit comfortably into a 5 or a 6 as, the clue being in the half, my feet are somewhere between the two.
I haven't bought any new shoes for an age and such was my joy in unpacking them from the box that I actually exclaimed 'ooh look at you' quite loudly. Fortuitously my nearset neighbours are not within earshot and the cat was too busy eating supper to pay me any mind but I think the shoes were quite chuffed at the compliment.
