Given that the Afternoon tea experience is becoming very popular for Hen celebrations and birthdays, why not give a 'tea kit' as a gift?
Many Antique stores sell glass cake stands and a single level stand can generally be purchased for around £10.
If you're after a double stand though, they are usually more pricey and trickier to find.
You should also be able to find an individual tea cup and saucer in a variety of designs (or two if your budget stretches to it) Box those up with some homemade or shop bought cakes (depending on time and skill!) and it makes a lovely personalised gift.
